Trinity Classical Academy
Five O Driving School offers behind-the-wheel driving lessons in Valencia serving the Trinity Classical Academy region.
If you are under the age of 18:
- Step 1. REGISTER for the 30-hour online driver education class (must be at least 15).
- Step 2. Pass the knowledge test (permit test) and receive your instructional permit (must be at least 15 and a half).
- Step 3. Register below for at least 6 hours (per DMV) of behind-the-wheel lessons.
- Step 4. Practice driving with a parent/guardian for 50 hours (10 at night).
- Step 5. After six months, take the drive test at the DMV.
If you are over the age of 18:
- Step 1: Pass the knowledge test (permit test) and receive your instructional permit.
- Step 2: Register below for behind-the-wheel lessons and schedule online.
- Step 3: Take the DMV drive test when ready.

Santa Clarita Standard Package: Three 2-Hour Lessons (6 Hours)

- Three 2-hour lessons with a qualified instructor in the Santa Clarita Valley (6 hours total).
- Free pick-up and drop-off at home or school.
- Meets minimum DMV behind-the-wheel training requirements for drivers under 18.

This is a good option for students who:

Have never driven before or otherwise need extra instruction.
- Have nervous parents who want their student to exceed state minimum requirements (we understand, our kids just learned to drive too).

Would like extra instruction with a specific skill i.e., parking, freeways, canyons.

- An additional 2-hour lesson (10 hours total).
This is a good option for students who:
- Have difficulty completing practice hours with a licensed driver over 25 (the DMV requires 50 hours of practice for students under 18).

Santa Clarita Diamond Package: Six 2-Hour Lessons (12 Hours)
Learn To Drive and Then Practice Real-Life Driving Scenarios
This package combines our Gold Package with Beyond The Wheel for an incredible value!
Gold Package (10 Hours)
- We'll start off with our normal curriculum designed to help you become a safe, confident driver and pass the drive test on your first try.
- Once you master the basics, we'll tailor the remaining lessons to whatever you need extra help with--parking, navigating without GPS, practicing freeway interchanges, or any new skills you'd like to learn.
Once you've mastered your skills behind the wheel, it's time to go beyond!
Beyond The Wheel (2 Hours)
Now that we know you can get safely from point A to point B, we'll make sure you know what to do when you get there. In this final lesson, we'll give you practice:
- Safely fueling a vehicle
- Checking tire pressure
- Navigating parking garages / tight lots
- Using a drive-thru, including lane approach and payment handling (we'll even buy you a beverage!)
*First lesson must be completed before scheduling additional lessons. Beyond The Wheel should be scheduled as the final lesson.

Santa Clarita Single 2-Hour Behind The Wheel Driving Lesson
This Option Is Great If You:
- Already met your DMV minimum requirement but want a little extra practice.
- Have had lessons with another school but would like to transfer to Five O Driving School.
- Are an International driver over 18 who needs to get a CA driver's license.
- Have had an accident and want to brush up on skills and rebuild confidence

Beyond The Wheel
This is a 2-hour add-on lesson focused on real-world driving tasks to build confidence with common occurrences on the road. These practical skills don't fit into our standard DMV-focused lessons, but they're essential for building true driving independence.
Students get hands-on practice with:
- Safely fueling a vehicle
- Checking tire pressure
- Navigating parking garages / tight lots
- Using a drive-thru, including lane approach and payment handling (we'll even buy the student a beverage!)
Please note: this lesson is intended to supplement the 6-hour minimum lesson requirement for students under 18. It can be added from within the student center after an initial package is purchased.

DMV Drive Test at Newhall DMV
- Use of the Five O Driving School vehicle for the DMV driver's test in Newhall
- One 30-minute refresher course before the DMV test appointment
- Pick up and transportation to and from DMV
This lesson can be added to any package, but student must take at least two behind-the-wheel lessons with Five O Driving School in order to qualify. Please contact our office and we will schedule the DMV appointment for you.
